Business session 5

In the course of Session5, I mainly learned the design of mood board of products. Actually, I did not quite understand the meaning of Mood board during the study last semester. In my opinion, it is very similar to the Brand Board. Therefore, I felt a little confused in class. After the teacher’s reminder, I understood the nature of Mood Board and its production purpose, which is to show the inspiration of products and some displays on materials. When I was officially working on the Moodboard, I had not decided on the product type to be made. So I browned a lot of balenciaga’s classic clothes until I saw the clothes designed by The founder Of Balenciaga Cristobal Balenciaga in 1950, which were fashionable yet classic. This is the feeling I want, therefore, I choose this collection of ready-to-wear as my creative inspiration. In terms of pop-mart, I choose Space Molly series, because it is full of color sense and lovely, which is the visual effect I expect. In the final design of Mood Board, I combined the two together, representing classic and retro on the one hand, and color and future on the other. They collide with each other, which is in line with the theme of the collaboration “retro and future”. I really enjoyed the process of making Mood Board, which was the most intuitive visual presentation and allowed me to accumulate more visual mixing experience.
